“This silk is too fragile to be a threat... Unless you are more fragile than the silk... Case and point.”
Background
Kafka is a Stellaron Hunter, formerly a Devil Hunter from the planet New Babylon, a place where all humans are born lacking the concept of fear. She joined Elio in his quest to influence the infinitely vast future of the universe, and in return he would help her feel the fear which she lacked.
Equipment
Katana
Kafka’s signature melee weapon that she uses to shock enemies in close range.
Sub Machine Guns
In ranged combat, Kafka wields two Uzis, coloured silver and black, like certain other trench-coated firearm users… The bullets can be ricocheted to surround her opponents in a hail of bullets.
Grenades
Grenades that can explode and inflict lightning damage and shock on the enemy.
Patience is All You Need
Kafka’s unique Light Cone. It grants her a useful damage increase, and her speed can ascend by up to 24% with each successful strike against an opponent. Her attacks also have a 100% probability of inflicting “Erode”, and will cause the victim to suffer continual lightning damage.
Abilities
Path of Nihility
Within the Honkai: Star Rail universe Paths are domains of Imaginary Energy presided over by the Aeons, and are attributed to “Philosophical Concepts” one can have strong inclinations for. Kafka is a Pathstrider of Nihility, which specializes in applying negative effects to the enemy to decrease their combative capabilities.
Lightning
Kafka’s attacks are imbued with the Lightning element, and she can induce lingering shock damage in her opponents.
Spirit Whisper
With the Spirit Whisper, Kafka can dominate the minds of others by speaking commands to them which they are forced to obey. She often uses this power to force her enemies into fighting against each other. However, this power has far more unique elements to it, as she is also capable of directly manipulating a target’s senses and deafen them to the outside world, or even manually reconfigure one’s memories. She can also accelerate Blade’s Mara, a curse suffered by long life species that is comparable to “aging” for them, inducing madness as emotions and memories accumulate in excess, and it affects them to a spiritual degree.
The consciousness and memories are contained within the Soul, which also extends to their spatial-temporal information and Karma, which is all the causal changes they experienced in life.
Threads
Kafka’s threads typically appear as an extension of her Spirit Whisper, however she is also capable of using them offensively to electrocute enemies in combat.
Non-Physical Interaction
Kafka should be comparable to The Nameless who can fight against energy beings and fragmentum echoes which are described as spirits. The Trailblazer is also capable of physically interacting with memories.
Resistances
Spatial Manipulation, Time Manipulation, Existence Erasure, Mind Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, and Reality Corrosion: Kafka was able to grasp a Stellaron without suffering any adverse effects. The presence of a Stellaron passively corrodes reality and distorts space-time, transmuting all lifeforms within its vicinity into Fragmentum Entities and altering their minds. They also interfere with the Imaginary Energy which composes the universe, which is a binding force so fundamental that it can be used to alter reality.
Extreme Heat and Cold: She can fight against Fragmentum beings who can instantly freeze any object they touch, or produce heat comparable to the core of a star.
Antimatter Manipulation: The Antimatter Legion’s Voidrangers are composed entirely of antiparticles, and Kafka is capable of fighting against them without issue.
Fear Manipulation: For the people of New Babylon the concept of fear does not exist, and they are incapable of knowing it.
Mind Manipulation and Memory Manipulation: Consciousness is contained within the Soul, thus interacting with them requires spiritual alterations. See Spirit Whisper.
Strength and Attack Potency
Single handedly fought against the Nameless, including Welt.
Welt arguably possesses the power of the Herrscher Core, due to the presence of his Light Cone. Light Cones are weapons capable of drawing experience and abilities from “stored memories”, thus Welt should have the same abilities he had access to when he held the Herrscher Core.
Welt should be superior to Sirin who was capable of tossing meteors at the earth and causing “mega tsunamis”. (6-55 Petatons)
Welt is capable of summoning black holes and slicing planets in half. (31.957 Yottatons)
The Nameless would later defeat Lord Ravager Phantylia, who had assimilated the Ambrosial Arbour. Lord Ravagers have been described destroying entire star systems at a time on multiple occasions, and have been stated to be capable of incinerating “galaxies” by themselves.
The word “galaxy” here is referring to a leaf on the Imaginary Tree, which encompasses an entire world. Despite the leaves being often translated as “star systems”, they are elsewhere (such as the Durandal visual novel) referred to as Universes, and have been shown to contain multiple galaxies. (Multi-Solar System level - Universe level)
Dan Heng is capable of defeating beings who can “swallow stars” in a single blow.
Speed
Should at least be comparable to Seele, who can move across large distances while bullets appear suspended in the air relative to her. (Mach 16,363.6 - Mach 18,181.8)
Fu Hua is capable of dodging gamma rays at close range, and Welt should scale above her (2.28c)
Dan Heng is the successor of the Azure Dragon, who can become so large that they dwarf solar systems
Durability
The Nameless can survive Phantylia crushing them with a Star and exploding the planet (3.96 - 7.34 Foe)
Enemies that are much weaker than her can survive direct contact with Himeko’s orbital strike (3.65 Petatons)
Intelligence and Experience
In regard to direct feats, Kafka has shown herself to be capable of fighting against the Nameless, and she was responsible for training the protagonist in combat. She is comparable in skill to Blade at least, who was a member of the High-Cloud Quintet, which was a group famous for being formed of the strongest warriors in the Xianzhou alliance. And during his time in the Quintet, he was mentored by Jingliu, who was stated to be the greatest swordsman in the alliance as well. The Xianzhou alliance is a civilization composed of six starships each larger than planets, and combatants such as Jing Yuan possess up to seven centuries of experience.
In regard to more general knowledge, Kafka seems to be adept at hacking, as she was able to project herself through the Astral Express’ communications.
